The r-134a service ports on todays cars are industry standard sizes. the high side port is slightly larger than the low side so you can not hook them up in reverse.make sure your not trying to hook up to the high side port. low side ports are usually located on or near the drier. or in the larger diameter a/c line going to evaporator.
